POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

PRACTICING

All students are encouraged to practice on a daily basis. The amount of practice time may vary based on age, and that may be discussed with the teacher.

SCHEDULE OF LESSON/S

CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE:

The student or parent will be reminded of the lesson schedule 2-24 hours before the scheduled lesson to confirm if there have been any changes to the schedule or if the student will be unable to attend the scheduled lesson.

ABSENCES:

If the student will not be able to attend the said lesson, make-up lessons will be scheduled upon agreement between the teacher and the student or parent of the student. In accordance with this, THE MISSED LESSON WILL STILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SAID MONTH'S INVOICE AND WILL BE REMARKED WITH A MAKE-UP LESSON SCHEDULE. To avoid confusion with payments on invoices, we will not allow you to deduct your missed lesson from your invoice. Please avoid deducting from or making any modifications to the invoice that we've sent. Rest assured that ALL MISSED LESSONS WILL BE MADE UP.

MAKE-UP LESSON SCHEDULE:

In cases where the student misses his or her lesson, a make-up lesson will be given. There will be a maximum of three (3) reschedules for missed lessons. Re-scheduling of make-up lessons may be allowed up to ONE MONTH after the lesson schedule was missed. There will be NO REFUNDS if a student misses a lesson. Rest assured that the teacher will do his best to accommodate requests to reschedule but cannot guarantee a same day makeup lesson.

ANNUAL RECITAL

The annual recital is a showcase with a vast variety of levels, from young beginners right through advanced students. The most anticipated event of Jett's piano lesson is held every year, which is the student's annual recital. Our students diligently work on learning from basic to advanced piano technique and skills from the start of their lesson up until the current time. A recital lets us showcase everything that our students have learned throughout the entire season in front of an audience.

The recital is a delightful and enjoyable event that creates lifetime memories.
The recital gives the students the chance to fully experience both the unique experience of performing on stage and the performance art of playing the piano.
The students can work on their playing abilities, rhythm, technique, and much more in preparation for the upcoming recital.
The student has the chance to perform in front of people, which will make them more confident in whatever they do.
They can demonstrate and showcase what they have learned in class to their family and friends.

BILLING AND PAYMENT

LESSON FEE:

$30 PER SESSION (as of January 2023)

Prices may be changed at any time without further notice. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without further notice.

INVOICE FOR PAYMENT - FIXED RATE MONTHLY:

Invoice are automatically generated and is sent during the FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH.

If your schedule has four (4) sessions per month, the invoice will contain a fixed rate. Depending on how many days your lesson schedule has in a month, some months have five days. This means that you will have five (5) sessions in that month. Please see tabular example below:

To avoid misunderstandings, confusion, and missed payments, we will not allow you to deduct the number of sessions due to absences from the invoice since make-up lessons will be strictly implemented.

Please avoid deducting from or making any modifications to the invoice that we've sent. The missed session due to absences will still be included in the invoice with remarks on the date the make-up lesson will be given. Rest assured that the paid session, even if missed, will be given a make-up schedule.

OTHER FEE/S:

LEARNING MATERIALS - Music books are bought by the teacher; the cost of the said books will be included in the invoice that will be sent.

RECITAL FEE/S - This will be included only if the student joins the annual recital. This will be automatically included in the invoice for the month in which the annual recital will take place.

Jett’s Piano Lesson is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost and left in the studio but rest assured that we're committed to keeping and ensuring our students are safe and secure when having piano lessons at all times.

CONSENT TO POST PHOTOS/VIDEOS OF STUDENTS DURING LESSON/RECITALS

Jett's Piano Lesson would like your permission to use the photos and videos of the students to showcase their talents and progress on my official social media accounts and website. These videos and photos are helpful to other parents and students who are interested in starting their lessons as well, and they are much appreciated.

In cases where the student does not want their photos or videos to be used, kindly let us know ahead of time so that we could blur out the face of the student prior posting.

In general, the students would love to see their pictures and videos online. They find it motivating and exciting to think that others want to know what they are learning. Other personal details, like first name or full name, are not included in the post.
